Hydration in the epidermis occurs through a multi-level process:

  • Skin Barrier Protection: Corneocytes, fused by an intercellular lipid system, create a protective shield to defend against external aggressors. This barrier is reinforced by the hydrolipidic film, a natural blend of water and lipids that prevents dehydration.
  • Water Retention: The horny layer retains moisture through Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMFs), which act like sponges to bind water within skin cells. The skin’s hydration levels depend on water intake, retention, and reduced evaporation, making a strong moisture barrier essential for healthy, glowing skin.

How To Use

  1. Apply a generous layer to the entire face, neck, and décolleté.
  2. Leave on for 15 minutes to allow full absorption.
  3. Lather with cold water, then rinse thoroughly using moistened non-woven gauze pads.
  4. Avoid contact with the eyes.
